Is this freedom meaningless

Firstly, I wish u all a very happy Independence day on this day. Now, my sincere appeals to u all – dont get hurt or take personally things about which I’m writing today’s content. Because, I was having a cultural environment this morning at home, playing some patriotic songs & browsing some Indian historic events in the Indian freedom struggle, suddenly a single event by an individual in social network cut the whole crap. As usual, some super intellectual guy in Facebook posted as “This Independence is meaningless.”

You need to understand whats independence, how India became independent in 1947 , who were the heroes & their contribution to make India free. Because, it was not a child’s play to make the whole country free in a single movement as British were reigning since 200 years. Netaji Subhash Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Prafulla chaki, Bhagat singh, Khudiram Bose, Master da Surya sen, Matangini Hazra, Veer Savarkar – their sacrifice & contributions impacted this freedom. However the post-independent period was not a successful era & since then lots of disputes, issues are in Indian social- political environment. Due to lots of scam, unclaimed black money accounts still India is a poor country & considered as a 3rd world country among the developing countries. one third of the total population is still in the darkness of illiteracy, poverty, with out work.

But I consider, if you really a patriotic person & want to do something for your country, why dont you stand up & do something in favor of the remedy ! Putting a social status on the eve of Independence day is nothing but kind of sarcasm – which yields no resolution, rather mocking of others. Yes, this freedom is meaningless, because their freedom movement didnot make you aware of those tremendous pains, troubles, risks they had once borne. Even you supercool people can never figure it out- their sacrifices of lives, families; They never thought that someday some one like you would sit in a AC room , with a WIFI powered tablet, posting in Facebook as “THIS FREEDOM IS MEANINGLESS.” They’d probably drop the Indian Freedom struggle & would accept the slavery by British.

In short, my gist is: We simply cant say ‘happy independence day‘ ! Its too bookish or simple – doesnt match with our super cool attitude. Thats why ‘Real independence’ , ‘meaning of independence’ such questions appear on social status on 15th Aug.  Celebrate this Independence.
