Asansol JIO Center gifted a mixed bag of emotions

ince I had joined Asansol Jio Center as a Sr. RF Engineer, life has faced lots of challenges & issues. Asansol JC owns some large cluster areas, so the number of physical cells are also in an enormous figure, so achievements, targets, challenges, work pressure, deadlines all are here huge, which affects the mental state or private life of an individual also. So here are lots of refreshment or engagement activities to make us alive or mentally relaxed. Today, I’m going to share some beautiful moments I witnessed here, apart from the painful time. I enjoy working in pressure, so it was not a big deal to overcome these, but these moments were no doubt I’ll keep in mind forever.

Budday celebrations:

No wonder, Employees’ birthday celebration is an event which is celebrated in an excited way with a handsome budget. In Asansol, I’ve witnessed some birthdays, where the birthday cake got completely wasted. No! not because the cake was bad or rotten, the employees rather love to wipe the cake- creams on faces of each other rather than enjoying its taste. So, its kind of a fun & play – where everyone maintain their counts-  how many times got pasted or has used to paste. so, the cake cutting ceremony, the fun play, the group face wash in washroom, the afterwards tiffin time etc were one of those gems.

 

Group Lunch project:

As I’ve stated in earlier posts that in this office we dont have a kitchen or pantry where meals can be cooked, so when its a lunch time, everywhere in office there is a trendy buzz going on – who else is going out by bike. because we dont have a hotel or restaurant in nearby 2KM radius. so lets hangout in Bike – may be in a group , otherwise …. You know my answer is cup noodles. so, I think you should take a follow up prior to half an hour, so may be you can be enough fortunate to have a plate of  rice with fish or roti- vegetables. we people generally love to enjoy the rice plate of LIC building location from our favourite uncle who delivers us “Posto Bora” with an unique taste. otherwise whenever its too late to visit Kaka’s hotel (Uncle’s hotel), Income Tax department canteen is also an option.

Its Outdoor Sports Time:

In some very fortunate days, we were able to plan for some cricket or football match in nearby ground. The match length generally becomes shorter, but loaded of fun. For cricket, the backward area of Reliance market is used & rule is simple – you may hit a boundary but you cant hit a six – a limited over of match & all fielding. Most of the players hit sixes (You know how much today’s people love to hit over-boundaries) . For football, there’s no such rules – except you took off your shoes & kick as much as you want. But whatever may be the sport, we always take help from house keepers, they are like the keepers, who bring back our lost cricket balls. Lol.

Festival Fiesta:

Festivals are a big part of this organization. Reliance celebrate all major festivals in India at their office. All jio center offices, State HQ & National HQ offices are decorated with the theme of festival. Also some employee engagement & competitive contests are held. Like here in Asansol, we celebrated National Independence Day, Diwali, pre puja occasions in jio center office. In diwali, we decorated office with illumination & the photos were uploaded to channel to participate in the happening event – the best decoration will get some gifts.so not so much boring, right?

Late night movies:

So in the situations if immense tension , we generally seek for some recreation, amusements. For me, Tuesday night movies were some lucrative solution. Because, on Tuesday here centrum Mall offer some low budget movie tickets. per person 60 bucks is not a cheap solution & you’re watching cinema in a multiplex? I personally liked this offer because I have some credit card offers offering cashback. so literally expense of mine is just too low. & with a kind heart, I offer this opportunity to some co-workers. so no issue in making a team. But the late night trip to room was just remarkable always.Generally we used to catch the 8PM show. so a place like asansol in a winter night can just be as lonely as an isolated island. No people out there, no lights, with dense fog & some heavy veils of dry, cold wind.

Get together in state HQ:

Get togethers are really cool here- we all teams of West Bengal Wireless group sometimes used to meet at Kolkata State HQ office to discuss over a serious topic or for a training session. The interactive sessions, sharings of lives among different geographical scenario of west bengal JIO offices are cool.
